Gina Capps


Gina Capps has been a member of Busy Bee Pediatrics, formerly Dr. Coombs Pediatrics since 1997. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Utah. Prior to joining our team, Gina worked at
Primary Children’s Medical Center on the Infant Unit, Same Day Surgery, and Pain Service Team.

Gina enjoys caring for children and adolescents of all ages. She especially enjoys developing relationships with each patient and their families, and helping them through various medical challenges in their lives. Her special areas of interest include treating and supporting behavioral and mental health concerns, promotion of wellness, asthma, and concussions.
In her spare time, Gina enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. Her hobbies include traveling, skiing, biking, and watching most sports, particularly University of Utah Hockey and Football. She is a proud Utah native.

Lisa Sharp


My name is Lisa Sharp, I am a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with many years of experience primarily in pediatric and adolescent care. I enjoy all areas of pediatric practice, but have worked with many children that have special needs from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders to adolescents dealing with anxiety and depressive disorders. I am a graduate of Brigham Young University’s College of Nursing.


I enjoy being a wife, mother and grandmother first and foremost. I have served in professional nursing organizations, as a leader in PTA’s and other service organizations. I enjoy playing the organ, piano, gardening and sewing. I love visiting national parks and historical sites. I have been a member of the Crimson Club for many years, Go Utes!

Rhonda Miller-Ernest


Ronda received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Child Development from the University of Utah and Weber State University, her Master’s degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of California, San Francisco and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Utah.
Ronda is Board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has been
practicing since 1981. She has practiced as a School Nurse Practitioner in
Tooele, was in private practice in Murray Utah and an Assistant Clinical
Professor at the University of Utah Nurse Practitioner program before
joining Intermountain Pediatric Clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah where she
practiced for 27 years.
She is now very excited to be working close to home at Busy Bee
Pediatrics. Ronda enjoys treating pediatric patients of all ages, and has a
special interest in working with new mothers, breastfeeding issues,
childhood obesity and all aspects of parenting. She also provides care to
many of Utah’s refugee population and has served on four medical
humanitarian missions to Africa and China.
She and her daughter also started a nonprofit organization that built and
now supports a school in Africa. Ronda and her husband are the proud
parents of three wonderful children who all enjoy hiking, traveling and
providing humanitarian service.
